Algebra students spent last week graphing linear equations and exploring slope. They made connections between the steepness of a line and the growth of a tile pattern, the change in y over the change in x, the rise over the run, and the growth triangle. Building off of a deeper understanding of slope, students can now identify the slope (and y-intercept) from an equation, a graph, a tile pattern, or from just two points.
