The Kindergartners are excited about learning letters and sounds, and of course, love looking at books, being read to, and in some cases, reading books to themselves. Their writing is growing every day as well, as they stretch words and put down the letters that they hear.
Lately, at choice time, we have had many, many children wanting to "write books"! They are motivated to do this at choice time, which is a time that they could be playing in the play kitchen or building with legos! We love seeing their enthusiasm.
