Second grade had a wonderful opportunity to get a school garden tour on Monday. A special thanks to Brigette Cameron for giving us such a lovely tour and serving us lavender lemonade afterwards!
The Lyme School garden is growing sugar snap peas, chard, asparagus, strawberries, sage, rosemary, lavender, basil, parsley, and chives. Students were also able to plant their own nasturtiums to take home - the leaves, flowers, and seeds are edible! Our tour was followed by a delicious feast from classroom parents (thank you Amy, Meggan, and Fauve!) containing ingredients that are currently growing in the garden. It was a such a nice way to spend our afternoon!
